The Weissbeer with the Weissbear

Thanks to its high proportion of wheat, Huber Weisses is remarkably mild and smooth. Our proprietary top-fermenting yeast is what creates the beers’ truly incomparable flavor. Originally, the label was graced by the brown bear of Saint Corbinian, taken from the Freising city coat of arms. Over the decades, the beer became famous for its iconic ice bear, leading many today to affectionately call it the ‘Weissbär’ (White Bear).
