The Brewery

The Heart of our Craft

Our brewery is located in the iconic Hofbrauhaus building on Mainburger Straße in Freising. In 1912, the celebrated brewing engineer and professor Theodor Ganzenmüller designed the Art Nouveau brewing facility, combining architectural beauty with the most advanced brewing technology of the time. On October 12, 1912, the first beer was brewed at the current location, marking the beginning of a tradition that continues to this day.

We brew our beers exclusively with the finest regional ingredients: Hallertau hops, Bavarian malt, exquisite yeast cultures, and water drawn from our own 106-meter-deep well located directly on the brewery grounds.

Brewed strictly according to the Bavarian Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) and certified as “Slow Brewed,” our beers undergo a patient maturation process at low temperatures. This artisanal process allows the flavors and aromas to fully develop, resulting in balanced, complex, and harmonious beers. Simply put: More time for the brewer means more flavor in every sip.
